Biography

The Várakozni Tilos! band was founded on the fourth of February 2018 by bassist István Bölcsföldi, drummer Lajos Szemeti and singer Gergely Függ, then guitarists Péter Poór and Lajos Boros joined the then-unnamed band. The first year was characterized by constant moving, fixing initial problems and finding a way.

In October 2018, Péter Poór was replaced by Bálin Szücs, who was still barely of age at the time, while the band started active concerts, which led the band to a completely new dimension. In the spring of 2019, the band made a five-track demo recording of their best songs up to that point, which can still be found on the band's YouTube channel today. The beginning of 2020 found the band in the studio again, where the debut album Elhağıttan was recorded from the songs perfected during the performances.

Due to the Covid pandemic that had broken out by then, the band postponed the release of the record for three months, but Lajos Boros did not wait for the release of the material, he left the band. He was replaced by keyboardist Gábor Nagy, which marked the beginning of a new era for Várakozni Tilos! -in. All the previous songs were re-arranged, creating the soundscape that characterizes the band even now.

Since concerts were not possible due to the pandemic, the boys returned to the studio to record the material for the second album, which was given the name "Be Yourself". It was released in February 2021, and a music video for the title song was also made at the beginning of summer. Since the number of parties has dwindled considerably, the band recorded the audio of one of their performances in Budapest, from which five songs were released in February 2022 under the title Live from S8.

During this time, No Waiting! started the preparation of his third studio album, which progressed rather slowly due to constant musical changes and other reasons. In October 2022, Lajos Szemeti decided to go on different paths, so the band was left without a permanent drummer for a short time. For one performance and on the new record, Fejes Gellert helped the band with his playing, the new member of the band became Isti Kóbor from December.

The band named the third studio material Modern Slavery, which was released online on April 3, the first music video from the album can be seen on May 7, and the second on July 16 on the band's YouTube channel.

While the group was constantly playing concerts, it applied to the Győr Rotary Fröccsnapok Színpad Fel! for a talent search competition, in the final of which he achieved a prestigious second place.

2024 júliusában az új utakat kereső Kóbor Isti helyére Udvardi Gábor (Menyus) került a zenekarba és elkezdődtek egy új stúdiólemez előkészületei.
